Activities in Turkey

The Workshop on Promotion of Energy Efficiency in BSEC (Black Sea Economic Cooperation)Countries

Background and Objective

JICA implemented "Energy Conservation Project"with General Directorate of Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration (EIE) from 2000 to 2005 and Japan's technology on energy efficiency was shared. EIE has implemented training courses to disseminate the knowledge and experience through trainings toward neighbouring countries such as Central Asia, Balkan, Black Sea, Middle East Countries. Additionally, Turkey is a member country of BSEC and energy is one of the priority subject in BSEC Countries. Based on the past experience of Turkey, it is expected to support the promotion of strategy in BSEC Countries through this Workshop.

Project Description

This project, in cooperation with BSEC, EIE and Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), aims to support energy efficiency activities in each countries through acquiring and sharing the new knowledge and experience among BSEC Countries through this Workshop.
