NGO-JICA Japan Desk

What is NGO-JICA Japan Desk?

NGO-JICA Japan Desk is a JICA program, which aims to promote the participation of the Japanese people through NGOs, civil society, Universities and other partners in international cooperation for the development of emerging countries.

JICA Zambia launched this Desk in 2007.

Main Services

  • 1. Support Japanese NGOs and Japanese Citizens that have activities in Zambia.
    • Provide;
      • general information on Zambia and its legal requirements
      • information about JICA’s schemes and activities
  • 2. Facilitate linkages among JICA, local NGOs and Japanese NGOs for effective collaborative work. (Collect and share information.)
    • Provide necessary information on the website
    • Give one-stop-service in the office
    • Lunch study, where experiences are shared over lunch on specific day
  • 3. Promote PR activities regarding JICA among Zambian and Japanese people.
    • Provide brochures regarding JICA projects
    • Support JOCV SORAN Dance activities
    • Media Tours
    • Radio and TV Programme
    • Newspaper
  • 4. Advise Japanese visitors about JICA office regulations
    • Provide necessary information on the website
    • Give one-stop-service in the office
    • Provide library services at JICA Zambia Office
