March, 1973 Signing of the Exchange of Note of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV)
Program and JOCV representative office in Bangladesh established
August, 1973 First JOCV dispatch to Bangladesh
April, 1974 Overseas Technical Cooperation Agency ( OTCA) Bangladesh Office established
August, 1974 JICA Bangladesh office established
April, 1988 Merging JOCV representative office in Bangladesh to JICA Bangladesh Office
October, 1988 Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund (OECF) Dhaka Office established
October, 1999 Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) established by merging OECF and Export-Import Bank of Japan (JEXM)
December, 2002 Signing of the Exchange of Note of Technical Cooperation Program
Signing of the Exchange of Note of Senior Volunteers (SV) program
April, 2004 First SV dispatch to Bangladesh
October, 2008 New JICA launched by merging JICA and JBIC
