JOCV returns to Botswana post Covid-19

My name is Junna Kikuchi and I am not new to the Botswana environment as a volunteer. Three years ago, I was deployed to Botswana as a Mathematics Teacher Volunteer at Siga Primary School and only stayed in Botswana for four months before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the global world forcing me to go back to Japan. After I got back to Japan, I could not forget Botswana, the teachers and students at Siga, the kind people as well as the beautiful life of living in Botswana, hence I decided to come back again as a volunteer to finish my mission that was cut short in 2020. I had a strong obligation to come back, to support the students, and teach them basic mathematics skills.

Finally, I came back to Botswana! I am very happy and grateful and looking forward to staying for the entire 2 years of my deployment. I am also going to make clothes using the popular local german print because I like sewing.
