In conjunction with the visit of the CEO of AUDA-NEPAD to Japan, and to mark the 10^th anniversary of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between JICA and AUDA-NEPAD, the TICAD9 Pre-Event, entitled Japan-Africa Cooperation and Co-creation: Achievements and Future Prospects , will be held on-site and online on October 2.

With Africa's immense potential and dynamic landscape, TICAD9 is set to take place in Yokohama, Japan, in 2025, presenting valuable opportunities for deepened collaboration and co-creation between Japan and Africa.

In conjunction with the visit of the CEO of AUDA-NEPAD to Japan, the TICAD9 Pre-Event will be held on October 2^nd 2024 to mark the 10^th anniversary of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between JICA and AUDA-NEPAD.

This event will serve as a platform to reflect on the achievements of Japan-Africa cooperation and co-creation over the years and to explore the opportunities and expectations as we look ahead to TICAD9. Experts from both Japan and Africa will contribute their insights on achievements and future prospects. Additionally, AUDA-NEPAD will share key updates on African Union (AU) development agenda, Agenda 2063, and officially launch the Japanese versions of the PIDA 10-Year Implementation Report and the PIDA PAP2 Projects Prospectus.

A panel discussion will also be organized, bringing together key stakeholders to review the outcomes and lessons from the TICAD 30 Years Review. In line with TICAD's guiding principle of partnership, this panel will include contributions from a variety of stakeholders, including private sector representatives, former ABE Initiative participants active in Japan, academia, and other partners.
