First prize in IIChE CHEMCON (Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers) 2025！

The first research paper on bio-catalysts, created based on the doctoral dissertation of Mr. Murugappan, a JICA long‑term scholar, has won the first prize at the Indian Chemical Engineering Congress 2025 (IIChE CHEMCON 2025) held on December 27–30, 2025!
Mr. Murugappan came to Japan in September 2023 and has been conducting research on catalysts using enzyme‑immobilized mesoporous silica—an environmentally friendly catalyst expected to contribute to sustainability—under the supervision of Professor OGURA Masaru at the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo.

I am happy to share that our bio-catalysis research paper, the first paper from my PhD thesis, was awarded with the first prize in IIChE CHEMCON 2025 * held in India during 27-30 Dec 2025.
