Childline receives educational material and face masks for children

Childline Botswana, another Non-Governmental Organisation received donations from JICA Botswana Office through the "Smile for All in the World Program". The donation consists of 20 boxes of face masks (800 pieces), various educational toys, physio ball and English books. The Resident Representatives of JICA Botswana, Mr. Hideo Eguchi expressed his pride on behalf of the Japanese people to be able to donate materials to organizations that may be able to put them to good use. He also noted the long standing cooperation between Childline Botswana and JICA through Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV Program) with 4 volunteers spanning between 2009 and 2020. He expressed hope for the two organizations to continue the mutual working relationships through the dispatch of JOCV members.

The Coordinator of Childline Botswana, Mr. Olebile Machete shared his appreciation towards JICA for all the assistance it has been receiving especially during the difficult time the world is experiencing. He further informed JICA that throughout his long career with Childline, he has found Japanese Volunteers to be highly reliable, responsible and professional in the work something that has benefited their organization immensely. He thanked JICA for all the support which enabled them to continue serving the vulnerable children.
