JICA hosts Development Studies Program Seminar

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) uses an array of development assistance schemes to meet diverse needs of developing countries around the world. One of the schemes, Technical Cooperation, contributes to human resource development by utilising Japan's technology, skills and knowledge.

JICA Botswana hosted a seminar for Development Studies Program for Representatives from Government Ministries and Universities to sensitise them about JICA's long term training program. The aim of the Seminar was to; provide a better understanding of applying for long- term training in Japan as well as study abroad to Japan in general, encourage civil servants to apply for long- term training in Japan; and strengthen relationships with Ministries and Universities concerned.

JICA looks forward to fostering personnel who contribute to tackling challenges in respective fields and maintaining good long-term relationships between Japan and Botswana.
