We respect the Development Plan in Egypt and consider the Major Issues for Development, our assistance program for Egypt is decided that the direction which Japanese government assistance should take for five years to come is the “transfer of Egyptian society to a competitive and stable economic society”.
In line with this direction, based on the three pillars of “realization of sustainable growth and creation of employment”, “poverty reduction and improvement of living standards” and “promotion of regional stability”, the priority areas and contents of assistance are defined as follows, from the viewpoint of “selection and concentration” and “emphasis on results”.
