JICA and Iran’s Dynamic Cooperation Through Conducting Training Programs Transferring Japanese Medical Management Models

JICA On-line Training Program on NCD and Cancer Control and Management-August 13 and 19, 2024
In a ground-breaking effort to improve Iran's healthcare standards, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has successfully conducted five impactful training programs in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of the I.R of Iran (MHME). These initiatives, as part of JICA Technical Cooperation Project entitled as “Project for Improving Medical Services in the I.R of Iran through Japan’s Medical Management Models”, are designed to inspire Iran's medical services with Japan's cutting-edge medical management models, fostering more qualified healthcare excellence.
Through these programs, Japan's extensive knowledge and experience in medical management were shared with nearly 100 Iranian professionals from MHME, enabling them to adapt and implement the gained valuable insights within Iran's healthcare system.

In the meeting between the Chief Representative of JICA Iran Office, Mr. TANAKA Osamu and the Director General of International Cooperation and Assistant to the Minister of Health, Dr. Mohammad Hossein NIKNAM, the successful completion of these training programs was celebrated. Both parties expressed their desire to further expand mutual collaboration recognizing the significant benefits it brings to the people of Iran.
As JICA and Iran continue to forge a path toward a healthier future, the impact of these training programs extends beyond the immediate benefits. The shared knowledge and expertise not only enhance the capabilities of Iranian healthcare professionals but also pave the way for sustainable development and improved health outcomes, aligning with the global vision of Sustainable Development Goal 3. “Good Health and Well-Being”.
