Implementation of Third Country Training Programme “Investment Promotion for African Countries”

JICA Malaysia Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), will organize the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) ‘Investment Promotion for African Countries’ from 29 October – to 7 November 2025.
TCTP is a type of technical cooperation whereby JICA in partnership with one developing country organises a training course in the said country and invite participants from other developing countries to participate. The purpose of such training program is to share the experiences of Japan and Malaysia in the field and strengthen capacity of the participants to deal with various development issues in their own country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia has been implementing the Malaysia Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) since 1980 and has been jointly implementing the TCTP with JICA since 1992.
For this TCTP, the MIDA will be the training institute and will accept 15 trainees from African countries to provide training on Investment Promotion. The trainees are mostly government officials from the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry Trade, Agribusiness & Industry, Export & Import Bank as well as Investment Promotion Agencies in-charged for planning, project preparation, promoting and facilitating trade and investment for their countries.
