Sharing Knowledge and Skills Gained from Knowledge Co‑Creation Programs Conducted in Japan and Zambia

The JICA Namibia Office held a Knowledge Co-Creation Program (KCCP) ex-workshop in Windhoek under the theme:“Impactful Teaching and Learning Strategies: Lessons learnt from Japanese Educational System”

At the workshop, ten ex-participants of different KCCP training programs presented the knowledge, skills and experience they gained during their trainings in Japan and Zambia, along with concrete examples of how these lessons have been applied in practice. Their presentations were shared with all participants, fostering mutual learning and meaningful discussion.

A total of 40 participants attended the event, including officials from the Ministry of Education, education administrators from the Khomas Region, faculty members from the University of Namibia, teachers from primary and secondary schools in Windhoek, and representatives from schools for the visually impaired and other special needs education institutions.

Through the workshop, participants deepened their understanding of the Japanese education system while also gaining renewed awareness of the challenges facing Namibia’s education sector. Active exchanges of opinions and constructive discussions were held, making the workshop a highly meaningful opportunity for the further development of education in Namibia.
