The students observed lessons conducted by JICA Volunteers, Mr. Todaka Masa and Mr. Uchiyama Shota, and were deeply impressed by the PNG students' enthusiasm for learning and their bright smiles. These JICA Volunteers have been making their continuous efforts to enhance traditional blackboard-based teaching methods by incorporating more interactive and participatory approaches.

After visiting Sogeri Primary School, the students proceeded to Varirata National Park, located in the same area, where they observed the outcomes of the JICA’s technical cooperation project, "Project for Biodiversity Conservation through Implementation of the PNG Policy on Protected Areas". This Project focused on enhancing the management system of Varirata National Park and developing a sustainable park management model involving local communities. The students explored the information center and walking trails established through the initiative, allowing them to experience the rich natural environment of Papua New Guinea firsthand.
