  • Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan (MOT)

7) Project Objective:

To maintain roads properly by/through installation of road maintenance equipment, thereby contributing to efficiency of road transportation and logistics.

8) Project Scope / Activities:

  • To install road maintenance equipment;
  • To conduct basic training for engineers at the targeted organizations (State Enterprises for Transport Management);

9) Expected Result:

  • Efficiency of road maintenance in the targeted areas is improved;

10) Beneficiaries:

Residents in Sughd Region and Eastern Part of Khatlon Region, other citizens using the roads in the above areas.

11) Contributing to the NDS 2016-2030:

To ensure overcoming the communication deadlock and transforming the country into a transit point through the followings:

  • Construction and rehabilitation of transport infrastructure;
  • Ensuring efficient operation of transportation and transport infrastructure aimed at facilitating socio-economic development of the regions.

To build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation (SDG - 9);
