JICA Alumni Member Mr. Ilkay IVGIN's Video Conference Seminar

Mr. İlkay İvgin, JICA ex-participant and JICA Alumni member, participated as a guest speaker in the WEBINAR (a seminar conducted over the Internet) series organized by the Friends of the Cultural Heritage Association (KUMID) in Turkey. Mr.İvgin, who participated in JICA's training program on "Museums and Community Development" in Japan in 2017, made a presentation about the outlines of the training program and the present practices of museology in Turkey and Japan. The participants of the seminar were interested in especially some applications on museology which are not common in Turkey, such as replica spaces where visitors can touch and feel the artifacts, activities that are held for children to enjoy cultural experiences and volunteers in museum. It was also meaningful that JICA ex-participant found a chance to share Japanese experience with his Turkish collegues at this current pandemic situation. The seminar is available at
