"Admission at PhD Program in Japan is a challenge" - Murataly Uchkempirov shared his experience

"Per aspera ad astra" (through hardships to the stars) they say in ancient times. Our today's interviewee is Murataly Uchkempirov who shared his own story of applying for a PhD program at one of the University of Japan. His pathway wasn`t easy one - he had been negotiating with Japanese professors during the last two years trying to find an appropriate supervisor and narrow down his research topic. Besides this, he had to gone through difficult approval procedures and internal competition in a chosen university.

After his arrival to Kyrgyzstan, Murataly plans to utilize gained knowledge and experience fully. At the same time, he understands that this is just the beginning - long three years of hard studying and conducting research on the selected topic are ahead.

Before departure Murataly used to work as a head of youth policy Department in the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic. In Tokyo International University, he is going to make a research about implementation of artificial intellect and innovations for SDG achievement.

JDS Program is directed on capacity strengthening of civil and municipal servants of Kyrgyz Republic. More than 200 Kyrgyz citizens have obtained Degrees in Japanese universities through JDS.
