Mexico

As OECD member with over US$9,000 per capita GNP Mexico recognizes that strengthening its international competiveness is key development issue. In May 2013 Mexico announced "national development plan 2013-2018" with a focus on realization of national inclusion (construction of equitable society), economic prosperity, global responsibility etc. JICA is providing assistance with a focus on: 1) industrial promotion (strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises and supporting industry), 2) triangle cooperation and south-south cooperation (based on the Japan-Mexico Partnership Program: JMPP).
