Nationwide Master Plan Study on the storage type hydroelectric power development in Nepal (Technical Cooperation for Development Planning)

The main objective of the study is to prepare the Hydroelectric Power Development Master Plan for a period of 20 years within the framework of power-system development plant. The study will articulate development plan of selected Storage-type Hydroelectric Power projects of 100MW to 300MW in the capacity range suitable for domestic power supply. The study shall be carried out in the following three stages:
Stage 1: Study of Power-System Development Plan
Stage 2: Study on Storage-type Hydroelectric Power development
Stage 3: Formulating Master Plan on Storage-type Hydroelectric Power Development for the period of 2011-2030

  • Partners/Counterparts: Nepal Electricity Authority
  • Period: 15 months from the date of start
