Brief History of JICA in Nepal

1970	Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV) office was first established in Nepal
1978	JICA Office was established in Nepal
1983	The office of JOCV and JICA were amalgamated into one roof. Since then, Resident Representative of JICA Nepal Office has been responsible for carrying out both activities together.
2003	JICA Nepal Office moved to a new location from Tripureshwor, Kathmandu to Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur.
2015	JICA Nepal Office moved to a new location from Harihar Bhawan, Lalitpur to National Life Insurance Building, Lazimpat in 2015.
