OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

Improve access to basic education and the school environment of the teaching medium in the regions of Louga and Kaolack.

PROJECT SUMMARY

JICA has started its intervention in the education sector since 1991.
This sector is regarded as a priority in order to contribute to the improvement of the educational system of Senegal.
With a total cost of 1 164 000 000 Yens approximately 7 490 000 000 F CFA, this project will allow the construction of 236 classrooms in 20 lower secondary schools in the regions of Louga and Kaolack. Since the beginning of the cooperation in education sector 2 300 classrooms were built by Japan.
