OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

An effective planning for the improvement of sanitation system of Kaolack city

PROJECT SUMMARY

Kaolack is facing numerous sanitation problems such as stagnation of stormwater, pilling up of garbage, inundation etc. These are impacting negatively on the population and the environment.
So, a complete assistance to solve the sanitation problems of Kaolack city is required.
This project is divided into three components, it consists in:

  • Improvement of the drainage system and the treatment of wastewater;
  • Improvement of stormwater management system;
  • Improvement of solid waste management system.

The signature of the work of this project, has helped start elaborating the sanitation master plan of Kaolack. This document once finished will be the tool of investment planning in term of sanitation liquid and solid for the next 20 years.
