JICA Volunteer Program

Mr. Kodama (baseball) and Mr. Kubo (music) have started their activities!

The new Japan Overseas Cooperation volunteers (JOCVs) were introduced to their host organizations at an assigning ceremony which was jointly organized by the Department of External Resources (ERD) and JICA online on the 31st of August. The occasion was graced by officials representing the ERD, JICA and the host organizations. Mr. Kodama and Ms. Kubo greeted and thanked all and talked passionately about their enthusiasm, followed by the host organizations' encouragement such as:

"We are happy to be able to work with JICA volunteers as before, also we hope that you will be able to utilize your knowledge, skills and experience for your works, and that could make your activities in Sri Lanka fulfilling."

We wish Mr. Kodama and Mr. Kubo all the best in their activities!

*The articles about new volunteers, the ERD ceremony and the purpose of the JICA's volunteer program were published by each local media. Please have a look.
