This Project is for upgrading the road between Athi River in Kenya and Arusha in Tanaznia. This road is a part of an international corridor connecting Egypt and South Africa, and is recognized as an important corridor for the East African Community (EAC).
Low-interest loan for the construction works in Kenya is provided by the African Development Bank and that in Tanzania is mainly provided by JICA.
