On September 26-27, IT literacy seminars were held for teachers of secondary schools № 251 and № 225 by JICA volunteers.

In addition, on October 24, similar seminar was held at the secondary school № 31 located in Nukus city of Karakalpakstan Republic.

The seminar consisted of two parts, the first part included material about the possibility of the use of information technologies for the process of teaching the school curriculum subjects. And the second part of our seminar briefed attenders about teaching methods of teachers at Japanese schools. Besides, we tried to show the life style of schools in Japan. Each seminar was attended by around 20 people. The participants actively involved in the seminar with giving their ideas and thoughts.

With the cooperation of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan JICA volunteers are planning to organize another literacy seminar in November, 2016 at the secondary school located in Uchkuprik district, Ferghana region.

The purpose of our seminar was to explain the important role of IT on teaching the school program subjects. And we hope that our seminars will be helpful to teachers in Uzbekistan to find new methods and useful skills for their further work.
