"With wish for peace - Yesterday and Today of Japan"

On August 6-7, JICA volunteers organized photo-exhibition "with wish for peace - Yesterday and Today of Japan" at the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravan-Sarai of culture, dedicated to the memorial days of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where atomic bombs were dropped in 1945. The opening ceremony was attended by the chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Japanese ambassador and chief representative of JICA Uzbekistan office.

The photos taken by JICA volunteers from various cities of Japan show the Japanese famous tourist attractions including the atomic bomb dome and memorial park in Hiroshima, historic sites, natural beauty of countryside, scenes of Japanese four seasons and daily life of present people.

By watching the photos and materials visitors knew about the tragedy in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, made folded paper cranes "Orizuru", wishing the permanent peace to the World.
