JOCV Exit Interview – Mr. Yamamura

1. What is the most interesting experience you had while in Zimbabwe?

My most interesting experience is finding same culture of Zimbabwe and Japan.

For example respect older people, people think other people. I found that and I felt very happy.

2. What are some of the greatest achievements you had attained at your work place in Zimbabwe?

My athlete won the Under 20 Zimbabwean record 400MH

3. What is the biggest challenge that you have faced during your work activities and how have you handled it?

Every day was my biggest challenge because I wanted to change athletes' minds. I think important thing is my daily action and discussion.

4. Which is the most interesting place that you have visited in Zimbabwe? And Why?

My most interesting place is Madziwa.

There is no electricity but there are many smiles.

5. Which are some of your favorite Zimbabwean food and beverages?

My favorite food is sadza ne nyama yehuku (porridge made of ground maize or millet and traditional chicken- rural areas).

My favorite drink is stone (ginger beer).

6. Any further Comments?

I love Zimbabwe. Zimbabwean always helped me. I want to say them thank you so much again.

I'm not sure I'm going to back or not but Zimbabwe is my homeland.
