Extension training course (3 times)
- From the beginning of 2009 up to June, the Project held 3 training courses on Extension Methods for the local technicians of the Project’s areas. The purpose of conducting these courses is to help technicians gain more knowledge on dairy farming extension, such as how to prepare lectures/make technical information/leaflets for participants in farmer seminars, how to make effective presentation, communication skills, how to conduct more effective technological transfers to dairy farmers, analysis methods, class organization, report writing skills, making effective interviews with farmers, observation skills, and so on.
- All training courses were lectured by Ms Pham Kim Oanhfrom Department of Training, National Agriculture Extension Center, with assistance by Project’s counterparts (Mr. PhungQuangTruong, Mr. Phuong Van Vy).
- In particular, the 1stextension training coursewas held on 20-22 May, at STED, BaVi center with total 20 participants from Bavicenter, BaviVeterinary Station, and VinhThinhcommune.
- The 2ndcoursewas held in MocChauon 27, 28 and 29 May with 18 participants who are MocChauDairy Breeding Joint stock company ‘s staffs and workers (of extension, veterinary, administration fields).
- From 6 to 8 July, the 3rdextension training coursewas held in MocChau, with same participants as in the 2ndtraining. In the 2 courses in MocChau, lessons were made to serve for on-going extension activities in this area, therefore, they are more applicable and useful for participants.
