Chugoku Center

Chugoku Center

JICA Chugoku Center (JICA Chugoku), supervising five prefectures in the region, Hiroshima, Okayama, Tottori, Shimane and Yamaguchi, conducts several characteristic training courses. The most characteristic course is Peacebuilding Training, which maximizes the rehabilitation experience we learned from the tragic atomic bombing day. Basic Education is another priority field which is based on leading experiences on teacher training of Hiroshima University. And Development of Private Sector by using knowledge of this Chugoku region assumed as an epitome of Japan's industry structure is other important training field.

On the other hand, JICA Chugoku focuses on the advantages which this region deserves. JICA carries out some attractive events in cooperation with Hiroshima Carp (professional baseball team) and Sanfrecce Hiroshima (professional football team).

JICA Chugoku is located in Hiroshima International Plaza. And its building mimics a peace and friendship boat, as people from all over the world could board.
