Alumni Association
TJAA (Timorese JICA Alumni Association)is run and organized by ex-participants from various JICA training programs such as Group Training Program, Country-focused Training, Long-term Training, Third Country Training, JSPP (Japan-Singapore partnership Program) and Young Leader Training.
The goals of TJAA are to strengthen Alumni member relationship, develop networking and support activities by Alumni members.
TJAA was officially recognized in 2019 and it currently holds a few thousand registered members.
Major activities will be proposed and selected by the Alumni members with the use of "Mini-grants" provided by JICA. Ten selected projects in 2020 varied from Conflict Resolution to Environmental Awareness. Furthermore, recent contributions by TJAA were seen at Covid -19 preventions and emergency disaster relief for recent flood disaster (April 2021).
