To commemorate the 50th year since JICA dispatched the first volunteers to Costa Rica in 1974, this event will look at Costa Rica through its "National Anthem."

Like the National Flag, the National Anthem is a symbol that represents the country that every country has. By knowing the National Anthem, you can see the country's history, culture, nature, and sometimes the social system and problems the country faces. Each country has its own unique National Anthem, with some having no lyrics, others sharing the same melody and lyrics, and others sung in multiple languages.

This time, we will have Costa Rican Ambassador to Japan Mr. Alexandre Salas Araya to talk about the charms of Costa Rica, and we will also introduce some trivia about national anthems from around the world, including Costa Rica.

You may have heard them at sporting events or on TV, but you'll be surprised at the trivia about national anthems you may not know. At the end, all participants will sing the Costa Rican National Anthem, which has a good tempo! This is an event that can be enjoyed by both those who know a lot about Costa Rica and those who don't. Please come and join us.
