Seminar Outline

JICA will contribute to the realization of "clean cities" in urban areas of developing countries based on the "JICA Clean City Initiative (JCCI)". This seminar aimed to share the image of the future realization of the JCCI with the relevant parties, by inviting various people from developing countries' governments, development aid agencies, Japanese local governments, ministries and agencies, etc., to review the good practices from the formulation of policies and plans to the implementation of measures, which were triggered by Japan's cooperation. We also discussed how to create a recycling-oriented society and a low-carbon/decarbonaized society for sustainable development in developing countries. It also provided an opportunity to introduce Japan's excellent products and technologies related to environmental management and climate change, which will contribute to future collaboration and network building (Business Pitch).
