The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the earthquake, upon the request from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

1. Disaster situation
Earthquake, which occurred around AM 1:30(local time)on 22 nd June, has caused serious human and property damage. According to the “Deputy Minister of State for Disaster Management”, the damage situation as of 22nd June was as follows:
Deaths 920
Injured 610
Damaged houses 1800

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Dubai)
Blankets
Plastic sheets
Sleeping pads
Portable jerry cans

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse in Dubai to Kabul on the next available flight.
