Emergency Assistance to the Republic of the Philippines in Response to the Earthquake in the Northern Philippines

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the earthquake disaster, upon the request from the Government of the Republic of the Philippines

1. Disaster situation
The earthquake in the northern Philippines, which occurred around 8:43 (9:43 in JST) on July 27, 2022, has caused serious human and property damage. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the damage situation as of July 28, 2022 was as follows:
Deaths 4
Injured 131
Affected 12,945
Missing 0
Evacuees 1,248
Collapsed houses 868

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Singapore)
Tents
Portable jerry cans
Plastic sheets
Sleeping pads
Generator (Code reel, adaptor plugs included)

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse in Singapore to Manila on the next available flight.
