Emergency Assistance to the Republic of Vanuatu in Response to Cyclones

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the cyclones disaster, upon the request from the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu.

1. Disaster situation
Cyclones, which occurred around between 1- 4 of March, has been causing serious human and property damage. According to DG Echo, the damage situation as of March 6 was as follows:
Affected Approximately 251,346 persons

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Singapore)

- Portable jerry cans
- Water purifiers
- Generators

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse in Singapore to Vanuatu (Port Vila) on the next available flight.
