Signing of Grant Agreement with Bangladesh: Contributing to strengthening public policy research and personnel development
On December 22, 2021 the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Dhaka, to provide grant aid of up to 2,429 million yen for the Project for the Improvement of Governance and Management Research and Training Facilities.
Under this project, the environment for capacity building for human resource development is to be improved by constructing facilities and providing equipment to administrative research institutes for the purpose of public policy research, and personnel development of civil servants and private sector executives. It contributes to the improvement of policy-making ability and coordination between the public sector and the private sector. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 8 (Decent work and economic growth) and 16 (Peace, justice and strong institutions).
