~ SAFTA – Innovation Vector for Agroforestry Systems in the 21st Century Amazon ~

JICA will hold a seminar as an official side event of COP30, dedicated to the agroforestry system developed in the Amazon region, known as SAFTA (Tomé-Açu Agroforestry System).

The seminar will bring together representatives from universities, research institutions, private companies, cooperatives, and government agencies to discuss, from various perspectives, the technical, economic, and environmental values of SAFTA. Experiences will be shared on how agroforestry practices contribute to tackling climate change, conserving biodiversity, and strengthening local economies, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
