TICAD9 Side Event: Djibouti team participated in “School for All” Forum!

From 18 to 20 August, 2025, the “School for All” (Community-Collaborative Approach to Educational Improvement ) Forum was held as a side event of TICAD9 in Japan.Six individuals working for the Ministry of National Education and Professional Formation in Djibouti participated.

This forum brought together educational officials from 12 countries: Djibouti, Benin, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, South Sudan, and Guinea.

Since April 2024, Djibouti has been implementing the “School for All: Project for Improving Quality of Education through Community-Wide Collaborationy” project, aiming to improve the quality of education by strengthening collaboration between schools and local communities.

During the forum, participants:Shared experiences from each country team, discussed challenges facing education in Africa, developed national roadmaps to enhance the quality of education systems and participants and visited Japanese educational institutions and cultural facilities to learn more about Japan’s education system.


The next forum will focus on reviewing the progress of each country’s roadmap and exploring further strategies for improvement.
Through these productive exchanges, the Djibouti team gained new ideas and concrete measures to advance educational reform.
