From October 2024, JICA Dominican Republic Office is responsible for 12 Caribbean countries, namely, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
As a spirit of collaboration, progress, and unity, our agency is dedicated to fostering sustainable development, promoting shared prosperity, and enhancing the well-being of all communities across this vibrant region and beyond.
With a rich cultural heritage and a deep commitment to global partnerships, we stand at the crossroads of opportunity and innovation, striving to address the challenges of our time while embracing a future of inclusivity, resilience, and growth.
In Dominican Republic, we formulate and implement projects, based on 4 cooperation programs as follows: Competitiveness Program, Social Development Program, Environment and Climate Change Measures Program, and Governance and Cross Cutting Issues Mainstreaming Program.
In Caribbean member states, we formulate and implement projects, based on 6 cooperation programs as follows: Climate Change Measures Program, Health and Sanitation Improvement Program, Education Sector Development Program, Agriculture and Fisheries Development Program, Private Sector Development Program, and CARICOM Development and Collaboration Program.
