JICA's Support for Improving the Quality and Sustainability of Roads in Infrastructure Development: CAE Method Standardization Project: Inaugural Seminar 2024

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provides funding for surveys, demonstrations, and business consultations to develop technology with Japanese private companies that will contribute to the development of partner countries, one of which is Indonesia. Together with Sakai Heavy Industries, LTD. and monitored by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Directorate of Road and Bridge Engineering, JICA supports to aim the standardization of road stabilizer method using CAE method (“C”ement and “A”sphalt “E”mulsion) which can be an effective method for road construction.

Taking place at the PT. Sakai Indonesia factory, Cikarang, the CAE Method Standardization Project: Inaugural Seminar 2024 was held on August 12, 2024. At the beginning, Director Yudha expressed them support for the standardization of the CAE method. In addition, explain JICA project detail and discussing the standardization process of CAE Method form SAKAI HEAVY INDUSTRES, LTD., there was also the demonstration of the PM550-S, road stabilizer.

Participants from the government, public and private construction companies, and universities showed great interest in the effective CAE method, which serves as the foundation for base course improvement and enhances construction efficiency in road maintenance and repair projects.
