2nd Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) Meeting for the Development of the Rebana Area

On June 17, 2025, JICA Indonesia and the Government of Indonesia held the 2nd Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) Meeting to discuss the progress of “Project for the Rebana Area Development which is related with the Patimban International Port. The meeting took place at the Grand Mercure Hotel, Jakarta Kemayoran.

What is the Rebana Area Development Project?
Launched in May 2024, the Rebana Area Development Project aims to strengthen the implementation structure and capacity of relevant stakeholders in developing the Rebana Area. During this meeting, the first Output of the project was presented, namely the draft Master Plan for the Rebana Area Development, along with proposed priority programs as key pillars to realize the development vision.

The JCC Meeting was attended by nearly 80 participants representing various institutions and, including JICA Indonesia and the Indonesian Government at the national level (with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA) as host and other relevant ministries), the Rebana Metropolitan Management Authority (RMMA) and the West Java Provincial Government, and 7 regencies/city within the Rebana Area. The participants actively engaged in the discussion by providing feedback and suggestions for the development plan.

The Meeting concluded with the signing of the Minutes of Meeting (MoM) by representatives from JICA Indonesia, CMEA, and the West Java Province, laying the groundwork for implementing the next output of the Rebana Area Development Project which is creating the detailed development plan for the chosen priority program. This meeting is expected to be a strategic step toward realizing the Rebana Area as a globally competitive and sustainable region.
