Handing over Ceremony for the Border Control and Surveillance Equipment to Kenya Revenue Authority

On 1st October 2021, JICA Kenya Chief Representative Mr. Iwama, together with the Embassy of Japan and UNOPS, handed over border control and surveillance equipment to Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).

The ceremony was attended by Dr. David Kinuu, Commissioner of Corporate Support Services, KRA, H.E. Mr. HORIE Ryoichi, Ambassador of Japan to Kenya, Ms. Sonja Varga, Head of Programme, Kenya Multi-Country Office, UNOPS, and other notable guests.

The equipment included X-ray baggage scanners, patrol boats, patrol vehicles, raman spectrometers, and field test kits to enhance the capacity of Customs administrations on trade facilitation and supply chain security.
