Flo has been participating in the activities of the BIWAKO Task Force as a member of the “Artist in Project.” She visited Nicaragua for the first time last November and held several workshops with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education, Managua City Hall staff, and elementary school students in the city to sketch the eco-mascot, which was later completed while incorporating people's thoughts and ideas.

The City of Managua decided to make this eco-mascot the official mascot for environmental protection of Lake Managua and named it “Xolt,” which comes from Lake Xolotlán, another name for Lake Managua.
