Enga PHA & HANDS visited JICA PNG Office

On 2 May, Dr. Betty Koka, Deputy Director, Enga Provincial Health Authority (PHA), who is also Director of Public Health at the PHA and Mr. Meck Lane, Health Education and Promotion Officer, Village Health Assistants Coordinator from Laigam District in Enga, paid a courtesy visit JICA PNG Office. This visit was accompanied by Ms. Terada Miwa, Project manager of Health and Development Service (HANDS), an NPO in Japan. HANDS is not new to PNG and Enga Province. They have just returned to Enga again for another project focusing on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in communities under the Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Project scheme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan. HANDS will also begin their project under the JICA scheme in 2025.
JICA will collaborate with PHA and HANDS together for villagers' health in Enga Province.
