Update on the National Mathematics and Science Textbooks - Akuna Primary School in Eastern Highland province

The National Department of Education (NDoE) and the JICA technical cooperation project for Improving Quality of Mathematics and Science Education (QUIS-ME), have developed national mathematics and science textbooks and teacher's manuals for grades 3 to 6. These textbooks and teachers’ manuals have been delivered to all provinces for all primary schools in PNG through Japan's grant assistance program.

At Akuna Primary School in Eastern Highland Province, built with financial support from the Japanese Government known as the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, teachers are committed to ensuring every student benefits from these resources. When there aren't enough copies of the textbooks for all students, teachers photocopy and distribute them to ensure every student has access.
