Signing of the Grant Agreement between the Department of National Planning & Monitoring (DNPM) & JICA for the new “Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS)”

DNPM and JICA signed Grant Agreement of the “Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship” by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS).

On Thursday 22nd August 2024, the Department of National Planning & Monitoring (DNPM) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed the Grant Agreement for the 5th new Scholarship Program “Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship” by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS).

The signing was done by DNPM Secretary, Mr. Koney Samuel and Mr. YOKOTA Takahiro, Senior Representative of JICA PNG Office, on behalf of the Chief Representative of JICA PNG Office with representatives from the Department of Personal Management (DPM) as witness of the signing of the Grant Agreement.
Upon signing of the Grant Agreement of the JDS, DNPM Secretary Mr. Koney Samuel, acknowledged the support from JICA PNG and especially for this new Scholarship program as this would greatly improve the capacity of the government officials to contribute effectively to the development of Papua New Guinea and this new Scholarship program also contributes to the people to people exchange for both Papua New Guinea and Japan.
