JICA Senior Vice President Visits Nadzab Tomodachi International Airport

On 18^th October, delegation from JICA HQ, including Senior Vice President -Mr. HATAEDA Mikio, visited Nadzab Tomodachi International Airport.

The airport was upgraded under the JICA’s loan project, including the construction of terminal buildings, strengthening the existing runway, taxiways, and apron. The grand opening ceremony of the airport was conducted on 2^nd October 2023 and since then, it improved the transport access, efficiency, and enhanced connectively to global markets.

During their site visit, guided by Mr. Tom Nou, Director of National Airport Corporation (NAC), they observed the airport is playing the important role for not only to the economy of the region but also for the country.
