JICA Booth at the Emperor’s Birthday Reception held at the EOJ

On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, a reception was held at the residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Papua New Guinea (PNG) to celebrate the 65th Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

The reception was attended by many distinguished guests, including Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Justin Tkatchenko, Members of Parliament, and Governors.

At the venue, exhibition booths were set up by Japanese companies to showcase the latest Japanese products. Additionally, with the cooperation of the Embassy of Japan in PNG, the JICA PNG Office also set up a booth to introduce the achievements of past 50 years of JICA’s cooperation and highlight ongoing initiatives.

Moving forward, JICA will continue to promote sustainable development cooperation, contributing to the development of Papua New Guinea.
