Micronesian countries show their interest to cooperate in education sector.

The Conference of Pacific Education Ministers (CPEM) was held in Port Moresby from 18 – 20 March 2025.

■High Interest in PNG's National Mathematics and Science Textbooks
At this occasion, the National Department of Education (NDoE) and JICA took the opportunity to introduce some good practices under the PNG/Japan education cooperation initiatives in the country.

After a few briefings with the Education Minister of the Republic of Marshall Islands (RMI) and the Director of Ministry of Education of the Republic of Palau; Education Minister and Director from these two countries were amongst a few who showed their interest in the mathematics and science textbooks and teacher manuals developed by the NDoE with the support of JICA and Global Partnership for Education (GPE).

■Strengthening Regional Collaboration
JICA is happy and excited to cooperate with these Pacific Island Countries in education sector.
