Students from Toyo Univ. Visits JICA PNG Office!

On Friday, 7th November, as part of a study tour in Papua New Guinea, Professor TADOKORO Satoshi from Toyo University and 14 students visited the JICA Papua New Guinea Office. The group departed Japan on November 1 and stayed in Papua New Guinea until November 9, deepening their understanding of the country during their visit.
At the JICA office, the visit began with a greeting from Mr. MATSUOKA Hideaki, Chief Representative of JICA PNG Office. This was followed by a presentation by Mr. NAGASE Ryota, Representative, who introduced JICA’s projects and initiatives in PNG. Afterwards, Professor Tadokoro and the students shared their experiences and insights gained during their activities in the country. Finally, an exchange of opinions took place between the students and Mr. KANAMOTO Junta, a JICA Overseas Cooperation Volunteer active in the Sogeri Primary School, as well as Mr. Nagase. The discussion touched on local living conditions and their work, and the students’ strong interest in PNG and international cooperation was clearly evident.
