5 JICA Scholars Graduate with Master’s Degree

The JICA Papua New Guinea Office would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Five JICA Scholars who graduated with Master’s Degree from the International University of Japan (IUJ) on Saturday 22nd June 2024. The five public servants were pursuing further studies under the prestigious JICA SDG’s Global Leader Scholarship Program. The scholars are Mr. Randall Rovagaua (Internal Revenue Commission), Mr. Peter Apana (Department of Treasury), Miss Suzie Maki (Department of Foreign Affairs), Mr. Nelson Mukap (Department of Finance) and Mr. Paul Mali (Department of Health). The five scholars will present their thesis/research work to the National Government in July 2024. JICA is committed to assist the National Government strengthen its capacity for the sustainable development of Papua New Guinea.

The JICA SDG Global Leader Scholarship Program is one of the five Scholarship Programs being implemented in PNG by JICA. Applications open in September 2024 for 2025 intake and information will be provided to the Government Departments/ Agencies accordingly. Government Public Servants interested in applying for JICA Scholarship Programs can seek further advise from their Corporate / HR Division.
